Bleeding Heart Luxuriant

What could send a sweeter message than everblooming heart-shaped flowers hanging from arching stems like little charms? These flowers keep coming freely from spring through fall, giving some love to those forgotten corners of the shade garden. The foliage is lovely too. It's blue-green and fern-like, so it'll match that soft graceful look you get with real ferns. This one doesn't get as large as you'd normally expect from a bleeding heart, and with its unique foliage and plentiful flowers, it will be a strong performer leading the pack at the front of your mixed shade perennial border. It's perfectly at home in woodland gardens, but you can plant it into a sunnier spot that you wouldn't be able to grow most bleeding hearts in, or put it in a container, so long as you keep the soil moist to avoid it going dormant.
