Blood Lily

Grisly name aside, this South African native is actually quite the beauty. You'll find many ways to feature its unique bloom, whether it's spicing up your cut-flower bouquets, a patio accent, a container garden feature or a statement-making houseplant. The flowers form a ball shape, like an allium, but with vibrant red color on the hundreds of tiny florets. It's tropical, so for most zones you'll want to keep it potted.
