Hens & Chicks Mix

These drought-tolerant, very hardy plants thrive in full sun with almost no maintenance. The 'hen' spreads by creating more 'chicks', which root themselves. The hen will produce a flower and then fade, giving energy to the growing chicks. The rosettes of succulent leaves create a tight, mat-forming ground cover. The only big needs with Hens & Chicks are sunshine and great drainage, so Hens & Chicks make a fabulous addition to rock gardens. Growing low and producing plenty of interesting foliage, this mix is a great companion to other rock garden plants. This mix makes an easy-care patio feature, or a chic indoor accent.
