Livin' Easy® Floribunda Rose Tree
This 1996 All-America Rose Selection from the UK's Harkness rose breeding firm, has been impressing gardeners ever since with its disease-resistant, blackspot-free foliage and fully double, 3" blooms in a distinctive shade of pale apricot. Ruffled and tightly packed (up to 40 petals), they quickly mature to vibrant orange, all the while providing a sweet citrus scent that freshens and brightens the late spring to early summer breezes. Just as its name implies, this easy-care, fragrant floribunda rose is a snap to grow and maintain. All it needs is a sunny spot and ample water. These lavish blooms cover a full, rounded shrub that reaches about 4-5' high and 5-6' wide. The sweet scent follows these roses wherever they go; whether in the garden or in a vase. Blooms heavily within the first few flushes of the season, but new buds will appear in waves all summer and sometimes into autumn. Rosa HARwelcome PP9161.
What Is a Tree Rose?
Unlike traditional shrub roses that grow from the base up, tree roses—also known as grafted standard roses—are specially cultivated by grafting a rose variety onto a sturdy, 2–3-foot tall trunk of rose rootstock. This horticultural technique allows favorite floribunda, grandiflora, hybrid tea, or even climbing rose varieties to take on an elegant tree-like form. The result is a dramatic garden feature: a vertical accent that elevates lush, colorful blooms to near eye level. Tree roses offer a refined structure and bring added dimension to flower beds, borders, and containers alike.
