Northern Belle Hardy Hot Pink Crape Myrtle

Northern Belle Hardy Hot Pink Crape Myrtle

Hot, hot color on an exclusive introduction from the Northern Belle series--bred by the renowned Dr. Keith Zary. The biggest news about this series is how incredibly hardy it is for crape myrtle, you can depend on it to rebloom all the way up through zone 5 with a heavy winter mulch. In fact, we grew Northern Belle Hardy Hot Pink Crape Myrtle without protection in zone 6, and it produced tons of searing midsummer pink flowers for our test garden. In cooler zones it dies back to the ground and grows new each spring. In warmer zones, it'll grow taller, possibly up to 5' tall. Fabulous along a back border, providing a layer of color above lower-growing perennials. Lagerstroemia indica 'Unknown #9'
